...the back door into Erik's house. Heh. But there's a catch, as always: Passing through requires artistic excellence, if you don't care to be rather overheated to an unpleasant (and uncomfortably warm) death. Are you ready?

Very well, then; welcome to Room-of-Mirrors, the new DA group devoted to Phantom of the Opera, critiques, and pretty artwork. Intrigued...? Here's the rules:



1. Joining--send us a note with the subject "JOIN" here at Room-of-Mirrors. Tell us why you love Phantom, and why you want to join us!

2. Any artwork being posted will be screened by one of your three mods, Fereshteh, Beautyfromshadow, or dollyismymeara. At the time we recieve it and decide whether it will be posted, we'll send you a fairly detailed review no matter if we take it or not--so it only benefits you to post. ^_^ That's not too say we're at all exclusive. All we ask is that you put real effort into it and that the final piece reflects that work. If you're not sure, send it in anyway! We're friendly over here. *laughs*

a.) So, the particulars. When you send it in, send it in a note to Room-of-Mirrors with the subject "SUBMITTING", and send work itself as an link either to a photobucket link to the piece or as a link to the piece on your DA account.

b.) Artwork that will be accepted includes anything visual--so including but not limited to sculptures, paintings, drawings, digital art, pictures of costumes if you're dedicated enought to make them--and poetry, though the same guidelines of quality hold for that. We will NOT accept extended fan fics. If you want to do that, go to Aria [link] or FF.net [link].

c.) Commenting--we differ from most groups in that we will encourage comments directly to the group site, rather than the original. This means that we can monitor what's being said and cut down on the fluffy comments that we're trying to get AWAY from.

d.) Faving--yup, we're asking you do that here, too. The reasoning for this is that we want this site to be a real forum for artistic critique and discussion, and we know how discouraging it is to have to switch back and forth between the original and the copy on a slow connection speed. Artists, this works for you, too--fav your own piece here, and you can use the comments as a reference for future use and keep track of how many favs you have. (We understand ego, too. )
